The Royal Hunt Museum – Älgens Berg is situated in Halle-Hunneberg ecopark and is an experience centre dedicated to elk, the flora and fauna of the table mountains, their fascinating cultural heritage and the traditional royal hunt.

In the museum’s ecopark exhibition you can find useful and interesting information about attractions and activities that make a great day out. There is also an exhibition on geology, as well as information on the Table Mountain Geopark.

Platåbergens Geopark

Layers of history — In the geopark we find geological phenomena and places that are only found here or in a few places in the world, such as; the peneplane (the bedrock surface) with its flat surface, the table mountains which with their unique rock layers rise from the plain landscape and ice age deposits that create an incomparable landscape. This geology has also created conditions for varied flora, species-rich fauna, exciting cultural and industrial history and active outdoor life. Platåbergens Geopark is a collaboration between nine municipalities; Grästorp, Vänersborg, Trollhättan, Lidköping, Götene, Skara, Falköping, Skövde and Mariestad.
